Guest blogger: Jesse Jaguar

Jesse Jaguar is our class jaguar. He goes and spends time at home with each kid in my class; he stayed with us for most of December and I'm hoping he comes back soon! Here's a copy of his journal  entry for school.

What a busy month! I moved in with Marcus and his family on December 3rd, and we got to spend some quality family and holiday time together. Marcus did a really good job taking me places, and we had so much fun playing together. He’s very good at sharing! Marcus’s mom took lots of pictures, so let’s take a walk down memory lane…
Here we are headed home together
Where we did some fun coloring...
Helped cook...
Had a snack
And met my host kitties
Marcus's wild cat, Tenzing

After an abbreviated nap time (Marcus had a lot to tell me!), our adventures continued with some bike riding, a trip to Michael’s, dancing (to Marcus’s music box), and meeting Evan on a little walk. Evan has an awesome jingle collar that I really had my eye on…

As our time continued, Marcus introduced me to many of his toys and proved to me why “Hazard” really is his middle name (as if that bike ride and close encounter with Evan hadn’t already). We rode tricycles, fire trucks, shopping carts, swings, and shoulders and played dress up and dance party. Marcus’s mom read to us a lot in funny voices and introduced us to this great song called “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield; we LOVE it and listened it to over and over and over again. Until the iPad would stop working – so odd that kept happening. Marcus, his Dad, and I Skyped with his aunt, cousins, and grandparents after breakfast most days, which was fun. We cleaned house and ran errands to the library, Whole Foods, and Sams.

Rockin' out to "Jessie's Girl" x 100
And I went to gymnastics 3 times followed by Starbucks for lunch – we like to bring a PB sandwich and orange to share.

Best of all, we got to celebrate Hanukkah together, which included lots of great stories, the beautiful hanukiah, and latkes and donuts. Yummy! Tenzing and Zsa Zsa like to play dreidel by swatting it across the room – a novel approach.

Then, not long after Hanukkah, we decorated the Christmas tree and celebrated Christmas and New Years.

We had a really fun time and are sad to part ways, but I can’t wait for my next set of adventures! Happy 2013!

Who am I?

Dr. Hazard

Peter Pan and Captain Hook

Vidal Sassoon

Quick, call UPS!

Ever the box-lover, Tenzing doesn't realize that Mom and Dad are pretty serious about shipping him to the North Pole a la Boris and the Snoozebox if he doesn't stop scratching the rug.
