Mom and Dad took me on a tour of the new house this weekend. It's coming along really well!

Sling Me
Mom tried my sling again yesterday and then again this morning. I found it to be an acceptable substitution for a hammock. I did not like the sling when I was a little boy, but now, now (that I am a big boy), este es fantastico!
We ate b-fast, made Dad's lunch, unloaded the dishwasher, took a nap...
Oh wait, that nap part was only me...
Not a bad way to kick off turning 12 weeks old.

Cheerios: The Breakfast of Champions
Dad loves his Cheerios. He would eat them every day if he could. Sometimes Mom fixes him eggs instead. He likes the egg action, but then, later in the day, we always find him standing at the pantry door longingly staring at his beloved Cheerios.
Now, me, I prefer the Mom Juice, but this whole toasted oats thing is certainly intriguing.
I might just have to give it a try -- in a few months.

ki⋅net⋅ics
(ki-net-iks, kahy-)
- noun (used with singular verb) Physics.
The branch of mechanics that deals with the actions of forces in producing or changing the motion of masses
Origin: 1860-65; see kinetic, -ics
Dictionary.com Unabridged
Mom and Dad took me to meet Heather, John, and Sullivan for b-fast this morning. It was tasty. And Mom and Dad have perfected changing me on 2 chairs pushed together.
Then we walked around a little and went to this great store called The Idea Factory.
I was enthralled...
...with the kinetic sculptures.
I couldn't take my eyes off them.
Kind of makes my stationary mobile seem kind of lame... I'm trying to convince Mom and Dad to upgrade me when we move, but I'm not sure they're convinced.

This is how we do it
Today we went the far shores of the lake (Mandeville) to Bill and Melanie's house. Here I am charming the socks off Melanie.
I am such a sly fox about it...
She never stood a chance of withstanding my heart melting capabilities.
We were there to celebrate Aunt Florence's 95th birthday. Now, I have some months to practice, but she showed me how to do it right in November!
Must we wait? I do have a gun...
Cake?!?!? For me?!?!?!
Really, more waiting? Will they notice if take a swipe of the frosting???
Here I go...
No, no. Forks aren't necessary... see Madox knows what to do.

Mom and Me
I realized that Mom and I never get to take pictures together... Mostly because she's always operating the camera. It is my goal to remedy this situation...
Here we are January 12th -- it was our first day of Snuggles and Struggles at the Parenting Center. I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed tummy time there. There were lots of other kids -- some older! -- for me to look at while I was tummy-timing.
And here we are one fine Saturday night (January 16th). I'm wearing one of my favorite outfits and will be sad to outgrow the dragon onesie mom made me...

2 month check up
Mom and I went to the pediatrician today and I continued to perform amazing feats of babyness. I sit and stand, with a little help. And am known to take a spin around the kitchen counters or coffee table. Mom was a little sad to hear that my walking is only a reflex right now and will be disappearing until I'm really cruising.
I really love playing superman. Or superbaby, as the case may be.
I follow objects with my eyes and laugh and smile. Mom and I talk to each other a lot. Mostly I say coo, aah, mmm, ha, he, and she says something decidedly less mono-syllabic back...
I weighed in at 10 pounds 15 ounces (nearly 50%) and 22.75 inches tall (50%), so despite Mom and Dad's insistence that I am superbaby, my height and weight are truly average.

My First Noel
It was very Merry Hanukwanzmas.
We started December with Mom's bday.
She turned 32 and told me that she finally feels like an adult since she has me. Unfortunately, she did not cake this year, much to her chagrin. Maybe she'll help me with mine next year...
Then we had an awesome photo shoot at the beginning of Hanukkah with Mom and Dad's friend, Megan. Megan had me working it for the camera. I can't do much about Mom and Dad, but I look fantastic.
Hanukkah was really special -- since it was my first and all. Mom had a lot of fun reading to me about it and singing the Adam Sandler Hanukkah song to me.
And Mimi and PopPop got me a beautiful menorah that I can use starting next year:
Then as we continued through December, Mom's old friend from high school, Susan, came to visit with her husband, Dave. They live in a mystical place called Asheville. There are chocolate bars there -- as in bars that serve all chocolate. All the time. Can't wait to visit them!
It was love. Love at first snuggle. I let her leave, though.
Then Nana and Pops came down from Charlotte.
It was good to see them again and Nana taught me how to Jitterbug and ChaCha.
I had a really good time -- she didn't know how much rhythm I had.
For Christmas Eve, Mom prepared a wonderful feast and Nana, Pops, Heather, John, and Sullivan all came over. Sullivan and I caroled for a little while. Of course, we don't know the words, so it just sounded like "Waaaaaaaaaaa Waaaaaaaa wa wa wa Waaaaaaa." We're not sure why everyone didn't sing along...
And then it was Christmas morning. Oh what a day. Mom and Dad wrapped up things from around the house (except for the chocolate -- that was new). Mom got a bracelet and her silicone spatulas and Dad got all the pens he likes to leave laying around (like 20 of them) and the watch mom had fixed in October. I got breast milk freezer containers.
Not that Mom had or has used those yet. The kittens got ping pong balls and Christmas mice from last year (plus treats). There was much laughing all around.
We had a fun, funny time.
Later on Christmas Day, we went over to Aunt Donna's house. I was a little tired from all the festivities, so slept for a while. Mom fed me and then I got to meet my Cousin Don. He's pretty cool -- see what a good time we were having?
Since Mom and Dad hadn't seen their friends Tanya and Mike for a little while, they came over for some wine and cheese a couple days after Christmas. It was good to see them and while Mom neglected to take any pictures of them, she did get some cute ones of me and Dad partying. Tanya and Mike were providing me with lots of entertainment.
Mom's always saying, "He just keeps getting cuter!" But I'm not sure if she's talking about me or Dad. Admit it, he's a good looking guy -- takes after me.
And then, all that was left was New Year's Eve, which I helped Mom and Dad ring in with a low grade fever and hella crankiness. It was just for one night, though.
All i can say is that Zsa Zsa and Tenzing had the right idea after such a crazy month:
Of course, they do that for like 20 hours a day, which is a bit excessive in my book... But they are pretty cute and snuggly looking.
